Oh glorious white masts!
Out of subsidies wrought,
From a left wing agenda
So skilfully taught,
By politicians on a mission
To change the world,
Our judgement being clouded
As the green mist swirled.
Oh glorious white masts!
May each turbine blade
Keep reminding us all
Of the vast amounts paid
To have you erected,
And to destroy our views,
And to provide so little
Of the power that we use.
Oh glorious white masts!
How majestically you tower,
Generating vibrations
But not very much power,
Your life span much shorter
Than when you were planned,
All future wind farms
Soon hopefully canned.
Oh glorious white masts!
Your power so erratic,
Can’t feed a power grid
That needs a supply that is static,
Destroying equipment
When they try to integrate,
Should have thought of that sooner,
Now it’s too late.
Oh glorious white masts!
Will you be forever here?
A symbol of man’s folly
When driven by fear,
Monuments to remind us,
As you slowly rust,
Of being misled by those
We should have been able to trust.
